Gail Yvonne Salyers

Gail Yvonne Salyers, 462 West Valley Drive, Kingsport, was born in Kingsport, TN on January 14, 1956, and was received into God s hands Saturday, December 8, 2007, at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center at the age of 51.

Gail died from injuries sustained in an automobile accident late Saturday night on Highway 11W.

Gail was a lifelong resident of Sullivan County and graduated from Dobyns-Bennett High School. She was an avid reader, a tenacious student, and was finishing a business degree at ETSU. Gail loved to watch movies. She was a loyal friend and loved family. Gail s children felt loved by her deeply. There were several special people in Gail s life who had a great deal of affection for her. Gail was a major part of her mother s life and enjoyed a heartfelt relationship with her dog, Lady.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, G. L. and Beulah Horton; maternal grandparents, Charlie and Ruby Isenberg; her father, William W. Horton; and an infant daughter, Patricia Ellen Salyers.

Surviving are her children, William Leonard Lee Salyers III and wife, Ashlee, Chattanooga, TN, Dustin Miles Salyers, Kingsport, Brittany Elizabeth Salyers, Kingsport; and an infant granddaughter, Abbigale Ruth Salyers, Chattanooga, TN; her mother, Jackie Clark, Kingsport; and a brother, Mitchel Horton, Knoxville, TN.

Calling hours will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. Services will follow at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Rev. David A. Cagle officiating.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Tri-Cities Memory Gardens.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. David Cantor, Greg Isenberg, Robert Cantor, J. T. Broome, and Charlie Broome.
