Garvey McGee, Jr

Garvey "Mack" McGee, Jr. 37, of Jonesborough, TN, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 12, 2011.

Mack was born on March 26, 1974, in Kingsport, TN, the son of Garvey Mack McGee, Sr., and Carolyn Short McGee Dunn. He lived his entire life in the local area.

He was a graduate of Daniel Boone High School, Gray, TN. Mack was of the Baptist faith and a very talented woodworker said to have an amazing "green thumb" and ability to grow anything.

Survivors include his wife, Leigh Anne McGee of Surgoinsville, TN; son Cainan McGee of Surgoinsville, TN; daughter, McKayla McGee of Gate City, VA; mother, Carolyn Dunn of Jonesborough, TN; his father, Garvey Mack McGee Sr. of Gate City, VA; brother, Nolan McGee and wife Krista of Kingsport, TN; nephew, Landon McGee of Kingsport, TN; several cousins and many many friends.

Visitation is on Sunday, August 21, 2011 from 2-3:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport with the memorial to follow at 3:00 p.m., Rev. J.W. Depew officiating.
