Gary G. Helbert, Jr., 42, of Kingsport went to be in the arms of Jesus on Monday, April 13, 2009.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Nelson Taylor and Aliene Enix Taylor, Murrel Swanay and Alfa Parker Swanay; grandparents, Gordon Swanay and Paulene Taylor Swanay, Emmitt Helbert and Irene Helbert; one nephew, Jerry Lee Helbert; and one uncle, David Helbert.
He is survived by his loving mom, Nancy Swanay Platt and step-dad, Joe Platt, of Kingsport; father, Gary Helbert of Kingsport; one sister, Karen Quillen of Florida; one brother, Jerry Lynn Helbert of Memphis; two aunts, Kaureen Swanay Bowman and husband Larry of Florida and Wanda Fugate of Rogersville; and two uncles, Paul Bowman and wife Sue of Kingsport and Tyrone Bowman and wife Linda, also of Kingsport.
Funeral services will be at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, April 20th in the Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport Chapel with Rev. Jesse H. Wooten officiating.
