Gary K. Davis

Gary K. Davis, 70, of Jonesborough, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 8, 2018, at his home following a brief illness. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, Mount Carmel. Gary was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Ruth Davis; brother, Paul Lynn Davis; in-laws, Hobert and Hazel Mullins; brother-in-law, James Crawley; and sister-in-law, Angela McFall.
Gary is survived by his wife of 48 years, Dee Davis; two sons, Mark Davis, Michael Davis and life partner Rick Carroll; three grandchildren, Cameron, Luke, and Sophia; two sisters, Evelyn Dean and husband Jim, and Kathy Crawley; two brothers, J.D. Davis and wife Leta, and Don Davis and wife Katie; sister-in-law, Kay Davis: several nieces and nephews; a host of other family members; and lifelong friends.
Special thanks to Ballad Health Hospice for the loving care that was given to Gary during this time.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, September 11, 2018, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. with Pastor Joe Hill officiating.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 12, 2018, at Washington County Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Oak Grove Baptist Church, 311 Cypress St, Mt Carmel, TN 37645.
