Gary M. Ketron

Gary M. Ketron, 65, of Gate City, VA, passed away Monday morning, May 28, 2018, at Holston Valley Medical Center. He was born in Bristol, VA and had resided in Kingsport for most of his life. Gary retired from Holliston Mills with 35 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Juanita Dixon Ketron; brother, Billy Ketron; and sisters, Evelyn Crawford and Dolly Dykes.

Gary is survived his wife of 44 years, Miachele Ketron; 2 daughters, Tonya Bowers and Kellieann Elliott and husband, Marty; 4 grandchildren, Lydia Johnson and husband, Carlos, Tiffany Rose and husband, Eric, Brittany Bowers and Tyler Bowers; 5 great-grandchildren, Madilynn Johnson, Kylee Elliott, Bentley Ross, Braxton Rose and Bentley Erickson; sister, Patsy Sumner; and several nieces and nephews.

Honoring Gary's wishes, there will only be a committal service to be held on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 12:00 pm at the Carter Family Cemetery in Clinchport,VA.

Pallbearers will be Marty Elliott, Carlos Johnson, Mark Rhoton, Dwayne Rhoton, Chuck Lindsey, Eric Rose and Tom Palmer. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Crawford and Michael Crawford.
