Gary David Pierce

Gary David Pierce, 68, Chuckey, passed away on Friday, October 9, 2015.

Gary was born on May 30, 1947, and was a resident of Jearoldstown Community. He retired from Eastman after over 30 years of service. He attended Jearoldstown United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Vicki Pierce; parents, George and Mavis Pierce; brother, Freddie Pierce; sister, Donna Pierce; and great-niece, Victoria Rose Cutshaw.

Gary is survived by his son, Eric Pierce; daughter, Tracie Frazier and husband, Jonathan; granddaughters, Ashley, Amber, and Alexandra; one great-granddaughter, Ashtyn; sister, Joan Tullock and husband, Cletus; in-laws, Ricky and Cindy Thornburg, Jeff and Pam Charlton, Randy and Sherry Harrison, Jeff Harrison, Susan Pierce; mother-in-law, Maxine Proffitt; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends on Monday, from 5 to 7:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch. The service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Richard Bowers officiating.

The graveside service will be conducted on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Chuckey.

At Gary's request, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Jearoldstown United Methodist Church, c/o Pam Charlton, 14845 Kingsport Hwy, Chuckey, TN 37641.

George Sayler, Sam Quelli, Steve McDonald, Stephen Waits, Brad Pierce, and Wes Pierce will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Jackie Weems, Bill Manis, Bill White, David Maltsburger, Randall Dickerson, Earl Riddle, and cousins and friends.
