Gavin Paul Jones

Gavin Paul Jones, 43 years old, passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. Gavin was born in Greene County and had lived all of his life in Limestone and Fall Branch, TN. He was a graduate of Daniel Bonne High School.

Gavin was preceded in death by his father, Larry Paul Jones; grandparents, Paul and Ruth Jones, and Ralph and Mayme Dunbar; and uncle Sammy Jones.

He is survived by his mother, Wanda Ruth Jones of Fall Branch; sisters, Kimela Williams of Gray, and Pamela Ruth Watkins and husband, Perry of Knoxville; three sons; Mason, Kaden and Sutton Jones as well as Keena Mosier and Jodie Rasnake, the mother of his son's; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 5-7:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm with Rev. David Hayes officiating.

The graveside service will be conducted on Saturday at 1:00 pm at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Shannon Fields, Travis Gamble, Bill Smith, Josh Grills, Dustin and Michael Eastep. Honorary pallbearers will be his cousins, Mark Jones and Kevin Burkey, friends, Howard and Karen Eastep, Steve and Connie Dickerson, and Tommy Dickerson. The family would like to mention his special friend, Vestal Coggins, who was his hunting buddy and like a second father to him.

The family would like to thank the staff of ICU at Holston Valley Medical Center and the community and friends that have poured out their hearts in compassion to the family.
