Gaynell Conger, 76, Greeneville, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Indian Path Medical Center. Gaynell had been a lifelong resident of Havelock, NC prior to moving to Greeneville, TN to be with her daughters and grandchildren. She was a lifetime member of the VFW in Havelock, NC. Her great-granddaughter, Aubree, was the light of her life. She enjoyed spending time with her family and loved playing games, cards and also family gatherings.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Colonel Jack E. Conger; parents, Luke Woodward and Ann Brouillard; and sister, Linda Flythe.

Gaynell is survived by 2 daughters, Denise Smith and fiancée, Wayne Allison, and Ronda Bernard and husband, Dale; 3 grandchildren, Destinee and fiancé, Jon, D.J. and Dalaynee; great-granddaughter, Aubree; brother, Roger Woodward and wife, Joyce; 2 nieces, Heather Falcone and husband, James, and Christie Owens; nephew, Mac Flythe and wife, Stephanie; and special friends, Yvonne, Bobbie and Sue.

Special thanks to the staff of Indian Path Medical Center ICU for the loving care that was given to Gaynell.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-4:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch. A Celebration of Life will follow at 4:00 pm with Pastor Kent Hightower officiating.
