Gene Francis Bordeau
Gene Francis Bordeau went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 12, 2010 at the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center after losing his battle with cancer.
He was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox, the New England Patriots, and NASCAR's Jeff Gordon.
Gene was a member of the Kingsport Moose Lodge #972 and held the Legion Degree. He was also a member of the Kingsport Eagle Aerie #3141.
Preceding him in death were his father, Armond Bordeau and his brother, David Bordeau.
He is survived by his son, Dustin and wife, Gail; his mother, Bernadette Bordeau of Pittsfield, Massachusetts; his brothers, Paul, Buddy, Ronnie, Tommy, and John; his sisters, Barbara, Nancy, Dianne, Sally, and Kathleen and their families. Gene is also survived by his soul mate, Diane Barnes and her family; and his many wonderful friends.
Calling hours are from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport.
Committal services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hamlett-Dobson Crematory, Fall Branch with military rites by the American Legion Posts #3/265.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 508 Princeton Road, Suite 102, Johnson City, TN 37601.
