Geneva Ann Woods

Geneva Ann Woods, 90, of Blountville, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 19, 2023. Born in Sullivan County, TN, to the late Robert Ray McClain and Ella Viola McMurray McClain, she had resided in this area her entire life. Having lived on a farm, Geneva enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, but always enjoyed spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J.E. Woods; children, Darrell and Charlotte Woods; sister, Jewell Campbell; and brother, Dewey McClain.

She is survived by her son, Greg Rock (Renee); two grandsons, Brian Rock (Jonna) and Jason Rock (Emily); three great-grandchildren, Emerson, Avery, and Ellie Rock; sisters, Elva Rock and Kathleen Barger; and several nieces and nephews.

Special thanks to her sisters, her niece, Connie Cagle, and the staff at The Waters at Bristol for their loving care given to Miss Geneva.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport.

Burial will follow at 2 p.m. at Hermon United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rex McMurray and Ed McLain officiating.
