George Barrett

George Barrett, 67, Kingsport, passed away on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at his home. Born in Kingsport, he had resided here for most of his life. He had been employed by Holston Glass in Kingsport and Harmon Contract Glazing in Dallas, TX.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tina Barrett Linkous; parents, Ples and Billie Barrett; brother, Mark Barrett; and sister, Linda Smith.

George is survived by his wife of 50 years, Teresa Barrett; goddaughter, Jeannie Barrett; grandchildren, Kaci Linkous and partner, Zach Barbour, and Walker Linkous; great-grandson, Oakley; son-in-law, Derik Linkous; 2 special nieces, Leslie Haworth and Kimberly Wexler; and several other nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m.
