George K. Boyer

George K. Boyer, 87, of Princeton Road, Kingsport passed away at 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at Holston Manor. George was born in Sullivan County where he was a lifelong resident. He worked for Steadman Construction for 25 years as a brick mason. George was also member of the Horse Creek Freewill Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Baisel Boyer and Jack Boyer; three sisters, Beatrice Chizmadia, Fannie Crawford and Anna Mae Nottingham.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home. The service will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Virgil Anders officiating. Graveside services will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
