George Henry Crawford

George Henry Crawford, 72, of Kingsport, TN died Thursday, August 29, 2019, in Greene County, TN after a brief illness. He was a lifelong resident of Kingsport. Henry had worked 25 years at AFG Glass Plant in Kingsport before having to retire due to health reasons.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bettie Ball Crawford; parents, Henry and Rosa Edith Crawford; and five brothers, Onnie, Roy Dale, R.C., Lee, Michael, and an infant brother.

Henry is survived by his son, Kevin Crawford and wife Nachella of Kingsport; granddaughter, Callie Crawford; sisters, Phyllis Stacy, Georgia Crawford, and Mary Shelton; brothers, Walter, James, J. Fred, Coy, and Gene; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, September 3, 2019, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, September 4, 2019, at Oak Glen Community Cemetery.
