George Ralph Dykes

Ralph Dykes, 98, Kingsport, died Sunday afternoon in Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.

He was in Kingsport where he had lived his entire life. He was an employee of Eastman for 42 years. Ralph was a member of West Colonial Hills Baptist Church. He was a 50 year plus Mason, being a member of the Fall Branch Johnson Lodge.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters and five brothers.

He is survived by his wife, Rachel Dykes of the home; son, Michael Dykes and wife, Kathleen, Mt. Juliet, TN; grandchildren, Erik Dykes and wife, LaNita; and Rachel K. Dykes.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 25, 2013, at Hamlett-Dobson Chapel, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with
Rev. Wes Rankin officiating.

The graveside service will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. E. E. Wallace and Dayton Luster are honorary pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to West Colonial Hills Baptist Church, 1205 Kendrick Creek Rd., Kingsport, TN 37663.
