George Murphy
George Murphy, 97, of Kingsport, formerly of Bellmawr and Sewell, NJ, died peacefully Thursday night, April 17, 2014, in Kingsport, TN. Born in Philadelphia, he spent most of his life in New Jersey and had recently moved to Kingsport. George served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a successful business entrepreneur.
He is survived by his loving wife, Regina R. Kephart of Kingsport; daughter, Sandra Bateman and husband, David of New Jersey; son, Thomas Murphy and wife, Arlene of New Jersey; and six grandchildren.
It was George's wish to be cremated and to be later buried with his wife, Regina.
