George Robert Robinson, 89 of Kingsport died March 23, 2012 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
He was born November 20, 1922 in Wheeling, WVA. He graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree from Carnegie Institute of Technology and served in the European Theatre with the Army Corporation of Engineers during World War II. George worked the majority of his career with AFG in Kingsport.
He is the only son of Agnes and George Robinson and is survived by his wife of 61 years, Lois Eileen Robinson. Also surviving are his son, Andrew David Robinson and wife Laura Norris Robinson, Cary, NC; daughter, Gail Elizabeth Robinson and son-in-law Joseph Cochran; and five grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the grounds fund at Asbury Place at Baysmont, 100 Netherland Lane Kingsport, TN 37660.
