George P. Rowley Sr
George P. Rowley, Sr., 91, Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 31, 2006, at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center following a lengthy illness. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served in World War II.
His son, George P. Rowley, Jr. preceded him in death.
Surviving are his wife, Anita Rowley, Kingsport; two daughters, Lois Harwood, Seattle, Washington, Karen Bishop and husband, Nicholas, Church Hill; eleven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport.
Military graveside rites will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Mountain Home National Cemetery by American Legion Post No. 3/265.
