Georgia Mae Salyer

Georgia Mae Salyer, 92, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 7, 2016, at her home, with her family by her side. She was born in Kingsport and was a lifelong resident. Mrs. Salyer was of the Baptist faith. She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing and gardening, and had also worked at TN Eastman in the A.Y. Department. Georgia was a loving mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Salyer.

Georgia is survived by 4 children, Derinda Larkin, Rickey Salyer, Ronnie Salyer and Harless Salyer, all of Kingsport; 5 grandchildren, Greg Salyer and wife, Carol, Dominique Jones and husband, Steve, Luke Larkin, Brittany Salyer and Brandy Salyer; 6 great-grandchildren, Justin Salyer, Amber Calhoun, Erica Salyer, Gracie Mae Jones, Sophia Andrade and Annabelle Jones; great-great-granddaughter, Aurora Palmer; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 12-2:00 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm with Chaplain Tom Edwards officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
