Gerald Hite
Gerald "Monk" Hite, 64, Kingsport, passed away unexpectedly Friday, June 6, 2008.
He was born on August 7, 1943 and was of the Baptist faith.
His father and mother, Flemings and Ora Belle Hite; and sister, Shelby Jean Hite Ward preceded him in death.
He is survived by his brother, Carl Wayne Hite and wife Ruth, Kingsport; several nieces, nephews, and friends; several stepchildren; and former wife, Barbara Nelms, Kingsport.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport or anytime at the home of his brother, Carl Hite, 1732 McKinney Street, Kingsport.
Services will follow at 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with Pastor Kelly Dykes and Pastor Johnny Gibson officiating.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Depew's Chapel Church Cemetery.
