Gerald J. Vaughn

Gerald J. Vaughn, 78, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 14, 2015. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend to many and will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Cosby Vaughn; brothers and sisters, Curt, Ray, Bessie, Lowanda, Bobby, Paul and Resser; and grandson, Bobby Hawkins.

Gerald is survived by his wife, Marian (Doris) Garrett Vaughn; daughters, Robin Hawkins and husband, Larry of Kingsport, and Donna Armstrong and husband, Kyle of Kingsport; sons, Robert Vaughn and Lori of Kingsport, Alan Vaughn of Kingsport; step-daughter, Regina Crawford and husband, David of Kingsport; stepson, Ricky Witt and wife, Robin of Kingsport; 5 grandchildren, Brandon Armstrong, David Hawkins, Austin Vaughn, Hunter Vaughn and Katie Vaughn; 4 great-grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 6 step-great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; twin brother, Sherrill Vaughn and wife, Eastlee of Church Hill; brothers, Jim Vaughn and wife, Virginia of Kingsport, and Bill Vaughn and wife, Gladys of Kingsport; sister, Betty Barr and husband, Paul of Bristol; brother, Ronald Vaughn and wife, Patsy of Fall Branch; and several extended family members.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 5-7:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The memorial service will follow at 7:00 pm. with Rev. Steven Caldwell and Rev. Wayne Morelock officiating. Music will be provided by the True Faith Quartet.
