Geraldine Light Shipley

Geraldine Light Shipley, 80, peacefully passed from this world into the next on Wednesday, January 30, 2013. She was born and raised in the Beech Creek Community and had resided in the Sullivan Gardens Community for the past 60 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Jessie Light, seven brothers and two sisters.

Geraldine leaves behind her loving husband of 60 years, Bill Shipley; two sisters; two brothers-in-law; three sisters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 2nd from 11-12:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson, Fall Branch. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 pm in the chapel with Pastor Jack Morelock officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Carmel Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Keith Shipley, Jim Crawford, Mark Crawford, Scott Crawford, R.J. Duncan and Arlis Rapier.
