Geraldine "Jerry" Sullivan
Geraldine "Jerry" Sullivan, 85, of Kingsport, passed away June 1, 2010, at the home of her daughter, Nancy McArthur. She was born August 30, 1924 in Wise County, VA, the daughter of the late Sam H. Sr. and Sarah Fraley Neeley.
Mrs. Sullivan was a member of Mafair United Methodist Church and a member of the Fellowship Sunday School Class and Mafair Quilters. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Jerry's family was the joy of her life and after that her church family.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Wallace M. "Tom" Sullivan; granddaughter, Karen Anne McArthur; sisters, Maude Cornett, Maxie Stepp, Georgia Flanary, Lois Fry; and brothers, Frank A. Neeley and Sam H. Neeley, Jr.
She is survived by her daughters, Nancy McArthur and husband John Mark, Dee Manis, and Donna Sullivan; grandchildren, Chad and Charlie Hutson, Lisa Lindsey and husband Kevin, Sarah Snapp and husband Blake; great-grandchildren, Lauren, Allyson and Isaac Lindsey, Luke and Avery Snapp, and Hayden Hutson; special nephew, Carl Cornett; special nieces, Kay Hale and Lou Britt; sisters-in-law, Peggy Lane and Betty Neeley.
The family extends special thanks to Wellmont Hospice and Becky Sutherland, RN.
Calling hours are from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Mafair United Methodist Church. Services will follow at 7:00 p.m. at the church with Rev. Kim Goddard officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Mafair UMC, 1409 East Center Street, Kingsport, TN 37664.
