Gertrude Lyons Phillips

Gertrude Lyons Phillips, 93, went to be with her Lord on November 4, 2011 at Middle TN Medical Center. Previously from Kingsport, she had resided in Murfreesboro for the past 5 years, lovingly cared for by her daughter and son-in-law, Dan and Alice Frazer. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Clyde M. Phillips, on November 5 1998.

Gertrude is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Gary and Jackie Phillips of Roanoke, VA, her two daughters and sons-in-laws, Alice and Dan Frazer of Murfreesboro, TN and Mary and Wayne Phelps of Louisburg, NC, sister June Cox of Birmingham, AL, 6 Grandchildren, and 9 Great Grandchildren.

Our beloved "mammy's" stories, prayers, and I love you's will be missed. She devoted her life to family.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Wednesday November 9th at the Hamlett Dobson Funeral Home Chapel in downtown Kingsport. Burial will be at Oak Hill Memorial Park beside her beloved husband.
