Gladys Carpenter McAninch

Gladys Carpenter McAninch, 85, passed away Thursday (Nov. 15, 2018) at Preston Place II with her loving family by her side.
After graduation from Church Hill High School, she was employed at Kingsport Press. She was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband Herman, her father and mother Drew and Julia Carpenter, sister, Jean Ledbetter, and brother J. W. Carpenter.
Surviving are her son, Stoney Lee McAninch and wife Tammy, granddaughter Haylee Brooke Deal and husband Caleb, sisters: Noonie Bennett, Patsy Byerley and husband Jerry, and Frances Whitmore and husband Bill, several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted Monday (Nov. 19, 2018) at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Hill Memorial Park with Scott Byerley and Brent Whitmore officiating.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Preston Place II for their love and care of Gladys.
