Gladys Geredda Blakley

Gladys Geredda Blakley, 78, Kingsport, died late Monday evening, July 25, 2016, at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. A lifelong resident of Sullivan and Washington Counties, she was a graduate of Sullivan High School and was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Orley Ray Blakley, and brother, Elvin Coffey.

Gladys is survived by two daughters, Sherry Overbay and husband, Casey, and Tonya Johnson and husband, Joe; two sons, Tim Blakley, and Bret Blakley and wife, Sara Hope; three grandchildren, Jay Overbay, Doug Overbay and Katie Jo Johnson; three great-grandchildren, Josiah Overbay, Abigail Overbay and Hannah Joy Overbay; sisters, Irma Parker and Shirley Baker; and brothers, Robert Coffey, Bruce Coffey and Fred Coffey.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 5-7:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm with Doug Overbay, Pastor Jay Overbay and Rev. Robert Coffey officiating.

The graveside service will be held on Saturday at 10:00 am at East Lawn Memorial Park.
