Gladys Wilkerson

Gladys C. Wilkerson, 60, Church Hill, passed away Thursday, December 7, 2006 following a brief illness.

Gladys was born in Hawkins County where she had lived for most of her life. She was a graduate of Church Hill High School and a retired employee of Eastman Chemical Company CE Division.

Her parents, John W. Christian and Pauline Henry Christian; and a brother, Billy Christian preceded her in death.

Surviving are her husband, Don Wilkerson of the home; three sisters, Barbara Williams, Greeneville, TN, Tiny Hawkins and husband Buddy, Kingsport, and Brenda ?Cookie? Stanley and husband Freddie, Mount Carmel; four brothers, Claude Christian and wife Pat, Church Hill, James Christian and wife Sue, Atlanta, GA, Jackie Christian and wife Jeanie, Kingsport, and Tom Christian, Church Hill; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with Pastor Ed McClain and Rev. Andy Sensabaugh officiating. Music will be provided by Sonya Russell.

Burial will follow at Church Hill Memory Gardens. Nephews will service as pallbearers.

Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport is serving the Wilkerson family.
