Glenn Monroe Dalton went home to be with his Lord and Savior on February 12, 2025 at the age of 88 at home surrounded by his Family. 

Born August 6, 1936 in Hillsville, Carroll County Virginia, Glenn was the son of the late William Roosevelt Dalton and the late Lockie Odessa Nester Dalton. Glenn was the primary caregiver for 6 family members through the years. Glenn retired from the dairy industry after 49 years of service. With only a 10th grade education and the motivation he became the Chief Engineer with multiple processing plants in five states. He moved to Myrtle Beach South Carolina on April 12, 2024 to live with his son Perry and family. His favorite things to do was sitting on the front porch taking in the beautiful weather, walking as much as possible, talking with anyone who would stop, and doing small repairs around the house. He enjoyed eating Pizza and Chicken Alfredo. He attended Langston Baptist Church where he was saved and Baptized on June 30, 2024 and became an active member. 

In addition to his parents, Mr. Dalton was preceded in death by his Son, Kenneth Wayne Dalton, his beloved first wife Eula Richards Dalton. Brothers: Garney Dalton, William Dalton, Wiley Dalton, Robert (Bob) Dalton, Cecil Dalton, Maynard Dalton, Thomas Leonard Dalton. Sisters: Anna Lee Goad, Pauline Brinkley, Lois Wild, Mamie Smith. Clara (Dot) Richards Bostic (mother) of his beloved first wife Eula Richards Dalton. He was like a son to Dot.

Survivors include his son Perry Lynn Dalton (Karla-Jean) of Myrtle Beach, SC Grandson, Austin-Monroe Dalton of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Brothers: Avis Dalton (Bonnie) of Mount Airy, NC and Rick Dalton. One Sister, Lorna Bowman of Dublin VA. Special Sister-in-Law Helen Dalton of Lowgap, NC who he kept in touch with for family news and updates. Ex daughter-in law Carolyn Dalton Tolle who always looked to him as a Dad of Bristol TN, Jan Hess who called him Brother of Bristol VA, Becky Brooks who called him Pops of Bristol VA, Dean Ashely, Glenn was a Father to him that he never had of Bonaire GA, Sandra Ashley a Lady he loved and cared for many years of Bristol, TN. His many special neighbors, Chip, Bonnie, Bill, Savannah, CR, Anju, Jamie and so many more. His Bible Study Group, his Church family, and many Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral service, officiated by his son, Perry Lynn Dalton, an ordained Deacon will be held at 11:00am Thursday February 27, 2025 at Hamlett-Dobson Chapel. Private Burial will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park in the Garden of the Last Supper. He will be laid to rest beside his beloved first wife. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
