Glenn S. Middleton

Glenn S. Middleton, age 52, of Church Hill, Tennessee went home to be with the Lord unexpectedly on Thursday, August 8, 2024 at his residence. Born in Orlando, Florida on December 31, 1971, a son of Fred A. Middleton and Debi Hamby Middleton, he resided in this area most of his life. 

Glenn graduated from Volunteer High School in 1990 and received his phlebotomist license in 1992. He worked at Johnson City Medical Center and UT Medical Center. 

He will be remembered as a loving and devoted son and brother who loved to sing. 

Glenn was preceded in death by his grandparents, Fred W. Middleton, Jeri Deal and Simon and Natalie Hamby; aunt, Sandra Woods; cousin, Heather Harrell; and uncles, Richard and Scott Hamby. 

Glenn is survived by his father, Fred A. Middleton (Martha) of Bristol, TN; and mother, Debi Hamby Coffman (Bob) of Church Hill, TN; sister, Leslie Middleton Yarber (Greg) of Kingsport, TN; nieces, Sara and Hannah Yarber; stepbrothers, Jerry Coffman (Pam), Mark Coffman and Todd Coffman (Cindy); uncle, Mike Middleton (Lisa); stepbrothers, Richard Rhymer (Charlotte) and Tony Rhymer (Melissa); and several cousins. 

The family would like to extend a special thank you to his caregiver, Shelia. 

A Celebration of Life will take place from 6pm – 8pm on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at Cross Connection Church, 644 Granby Road, Kingsport, TN 37660 with Pastor David Sulcer officiating.
