Glenn O. Stanley, 91, passed away, Monday, April 21, 2008.
A Virginia native, Glenn had a unique five-decade Eastman Kodak career in Logistics. Active in the Kingsport community, he was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and could be seen golfing at Ridgefields Country Club at age 88.
Preceding him in death were his wife, Ilene Stanley; and two brothers, J. D. Stanley and Hugh Stanley.
Survivors include his daughter, Barbara Stanley and husband Walter Connolly of Fairfax, California; son, Dennis Stanley and wife June Groseclose Stanley of Plano, Texas; grandchildren, Rachel Price of Los Angeles, California, Lauren Stanley of Washington, DC, Morgan Stanley of Austin, Texas, and Kirsten Stanley of Plano, Texas. Also surviving are sisters, Beatrice Cox of Galax, Virginia and Agnes Goodman of Charlottesville, Virginia.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. David A. Cagle officiating. Entombment will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 100 W. Church Circle, Kingsport, TN 37660.
