Glenna Coomer

Glenna Coomer, 74, Kingsport, died on Sunday, October 13, 2019. Born in Kingsport, TN, she had resided most of her life in Kingsport.  She attended Riner’s Tabernacle and retired from Momma’s House.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Coomer; son, Ronnie Coomer; parents, Banner and Nellie Skeen; and sister, Edith Salyer.

Glenna is survived by her daughter, Becky Ketron (Scott Taylor) of Kingsport; sons, Jimmy (Shawnna) Coomer of Kingsport, and Sam Coomer of Florida; grandchildren, Brittany, Justin and wife, Rachel, Brandon, Ashley, Stephanie, Johnathan, Heather, and Amber; great-grandchildren, Peyton, Chase, Joshua, Jordan and Jackson; sisters, Loretta Sayler of Church Hill, and Betty (Howard) Dockery of Kingsport; special caregiver, Savannaha Odum, and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends will receive friends from 6-8:00 pm Thursday, October 17, 2019 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport and anytime at the son, Jimmy’s home.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday with Rev. Wayne Gilliam and Rev. Howard Dockery officiating.  Burial will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
