Gloria Mondesire, 88, of Kingsport, formerly of New York City, passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2013.
She was born and raised in New York City. She attended business school and had retired from the New York City Department of Social Services where she was a secretary. She had resided in Kingsport in the early 90s after retirement, then returned to New York City, returning to Kingsport in 2011, residing at Elmcroft Assisted Living.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, Denis and Esther Mondesire; and two brothers, Laurence and Denis Mondesire.
My sister loved me better than any sister ever could and I loved her the same way. I will miss her very much. She is survived by a sister, Carole; a niece, DeShannon Correa; two nephews, Whitney Correa and Denis Mondesire; two great-nieces, Taylor and Kennedy.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Elmcroft Assisted Living and also to the staff of Smokey Mountain Home Health and Hospice.
