Golden Mowell Hall, 88, passed away Monday, January 21, 2008, at Wexford House in Kingsport, TN.
She was a lifetime resident of Sullivan County and retired from Miller's after 20 years of service. Golden was a faithful member of Reservoir Road Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School Teacher and WMU Leader until her health declined. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Rev. Russell G. Hall; an infant daughter, Evelyn Duane Hall; and sisters, Beulah Larkins, Zella May, and Mildred Jones.
Surviving are two sons, Rev. Jerry Hall and wife, Shirley; Alan Hall and wife, Shirley; brothers, J. P. Mowell and wife, Patsy; Norman Mowell and wife, Jean; six grandchildren, Amy Skeen, David Hall, Greg Hall, Michael Hall, Chris Nida, Adam Nida; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Reservoir Road Baptist Church. Services will follow at 8:00 p.m. with Rev. Jerry Hall and Pastor Keith Smith officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Lovelace Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family members and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be Leslie Phillips and Rudy Phillips. Those attending the graveside should meet at the cemetery.
The family would like to thank the staff and nurses at Wexford House for their kindness and care that was shown toward our loved one.
