Gordon Lowrance, 69, Fall Branch, TN, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 16, 2008.

He was a lifetime member of the D.A.V. and honorably served his country for 27 years.

His mother, Mildred Hunt, brother, Thomas Lowrance and an infant sister preceded him in death.

Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Carolyn Lowrance; daughters, Pam Gilliam, Leslie Hanneken and husband James "Chip" Hanneken; son, Phil Lowrance and wife Tina; five grandchildren, Josh Baxter and wife Sasha, Christina Baxter, Zach Gilliam, Jobe and Eli Hanneken; stepfather, George Hunt, Jr.; sisters, Betty Sue Owens; Mildred Ann Bowers and husband Jim; and Pat Tilson and husband Darrell; brothers, Jerry Lowrance and wife Rita, Frank Lowrance and wife Susie, Bud Hunt and wife Angie; special brother, Bill Heidingner and wife Jean; sister-in-law, Libby Lowrance; three aunts, Reba Goins, Hilda Bracey, and Lucy Arp; several nieces and nephews; special mother and sisters-in-laws.

Calling hours are 5-8 p.m. Saturday at the Fall Branch Chapel of Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes.

Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Fall Branch Chapel with Rev. Carl Strickler and Rev. Victor Wallace officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church of Fall Branch Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by Post 3 & 265 of the American Legion.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Fall Branch Fire Department, P. O. Box 84, Fall Branch, TN 37656 or Washington County Johnson EMS Services, 296 Wesley St., Johnson City, TN 37601.
