Grace Dishner, 79, Kingsport, passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2017. Born and raised in Kingsport, she lived in East Tennessee most of her life. Grace retired from Electrolux in Bristol, VA in 1995, after several years of service. Her relationship with God was first in her life, you would most likely find her reading God's word or praying all the time. Grace loved gardening, sewing, and crafting.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, Noah Huffman, PFC Sylvester Joe Huffman, J.B. Huffman, Jim Huffman, and Tom Huffman; and three sisters, Ruth Hughes, Mary Qualls, and Martha Fleenor.
Grace is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Charles "Pete" Dishner; two daughters, Gail Light and husband Lynn, and Charlotte D. Patterson and husband Mike; one grandchild, Heather Canter and husband, Cliff; three great-grandchildren, Abby, Jacob, and Hunter; sister, Margaret Hayes and husband, Adam of Blountville; and several nieces and nephew, all of whom are special.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 15, 2017, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 15, 2017, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport with Rev. Pete Smith and Rev. Dewey Schaeffer officiating.
Burial will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Keith Jackson, Wayne Hayes, Frankie Hayes, Homer Hayes, Mike Hayes, and Jeremy Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Ezra Huffman, Ricky France, Donnie Huffman, Bobby Huffman, Johnny Hayes, David Hayes, Bud Myers, and Earl Harkness.
