Grace L. Hoskins, 78, Kingsport, went to be in the presence of the Lord early Thursday (June 25, 2015) at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center following an extended illness. Grace was born in Dungannon, VA, and had resided in Kingsport for most of her life. She was a loving mother and very caring grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmo Blaine Hoskins; daughter, Teresa Jean Hoskins; parents, Logan and Myrtle Pleasant Collins; and sister, Evelyn C. Vest.
Grace is survived by two daughters, Amelia Hoskins Hawkins and husband, Robert, Knoxville, TN, and Rebecca Hoskins Absher and husband, Larry, Kingsport; two sons, Walter Blaine Hoskins and wife, Doris, Kingsport and Carlo Hoskins and wife, Kirsten, Kingsport; ten grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; one sister, Fern Ewing, Church Hill, TN; four brothers, Arthur Collins, Fall Branch, TN, Ted Collins, Kingsport, Johnny Collins, Kingsport, and Logan Collins, Jr., Kingsport; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and many friends at George Washington Apartments.
The graveside service will be conducted at 10 am on Saturday at Gunnings Cemetery in Blountville, TN.
Memorial contributions may be given to an organization of the donor's choice.
