Gregory McMurray

Gregory ?Greg? Allan McMurray, 39, Kingsport, died Monday, September 24, 2007.

Greg was an avid hunter and a passionate UT football fan. He also enjoyed NASCAR and was a devoted fan of Dale Earnhardt, Sr.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Tony McMurray; paternal grandparents, Forrest and Rosella McMurray; maternal grandparents, Worley and Erma Lee Million; uncles, Bobby McMurray Sr., Tom Haynes, and Bobby McCurry; and aunt, Vivian Dykes.

Greg is survived by his parents, Dale and Katherine McMurray; six aunts, Evelyn Haynes, Edna Carpenter and husband, Freddie, Janice Baxter and husband, Paul, Linda Barnette and husband, Jimie, Judy Kreger, and Carol Stamper; one uncle, Rick Million and wife, Angie; several beloved cousins; very special sister-in-law, Darlene McMurray; and very beloved special nephew, Anthony Dale McMurray II.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport or any time at the home of his parents.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with Rev. Gorman McMurray officiating.

Burial will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Lee McMurray Jr., Eric Carpenter, Jeff Taylor, Joey Byrd, Tom Baxter, Jimie Barnette, and Randy Byrd.

Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Haynes, Chris Baxter, Ricky Carpenter, Justin Dykes, Dustin Dykes.
