Grover C. Coffman, 86, Kingsport, was called home on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 11:00 p.m., in Kingsport, following an extended illness.
He was born in Sullivan County and resided in Kingsport his entire life. Grover retired from Mason-Dixon after 33 years as a truck driver. He was a member of Beulah Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served in WW II and the Korean War.
Grover was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Nancy Milhorn Coffman; sister, Mary Lou Ford; brother, Jimmy Coffman.
Survivors include his wife, Ann Coffman, of the home; daughter, Teresa Hedgspeth and husband, Roger of NC; sons, Gary Roberts and wife, Cindy of Jonesborough, TN, Michael Coffman and wife, Michelle of Mt. Carmel, TN; grandchildren, Justin, Ginger, Cody, Brandon, Kevin; several great grandchildren; sister, Nellie Smith of Kingsport.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5-7:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport. The funeral service will be Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Orville Rogers officiating.
Graveside services will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted by American Legion Posts # 3/265.
