Guillermo Rios Perdomo, 56, of Kingsport, died on Sunday, July 25, 2010, at his home. He was born in El Salvador, and had lived in America since the early 1970s. He attended and graduated from UCLA, and received his post-graduate education from UCSB, where he received his doctorate in Organic Chemistry. He had lived in Kingsport since 1989, having worked at Eastman Chemical Company, where he was currently employed. Guillermo was part of the Latin America Club and the American Chemistry Association, as well as an avid soccer coach and player. He was a loving husband and father.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Guillermo Rios and Yolanda Perdomo; a son, Guillermo Alexander Perdomo; and an uncle, Oscar Perdomo.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa Gill Perdomo; a daughter, Maire Perdomo; a son, Misha Perdomo; and aunt, Cora Perdomo; and cousins, Bruno Sanchez and Silvia Perdomo Venegas.
A Celebrattion of Life service will be held at Meadowview Conference Center on Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m.
