Gwinda Lynne Smith, 64, of Kingsport passed away Friday, December 8, 2006.

She was born and raised in Hawkins County. Lynne moved to Baltimore, Maryland to become an entertainer and sole proprietor in the entertainment industry. After forty plus years as a successful business woman she returned to Kingsport in 2002 to retire to spend time with her daughter, grandchildren, and family.

Lynne was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend and will sorely be missed by all who knew her. Her unique eyes, smile and laugh were a ray of sunshine.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Flora Morelock; mother, Mertie Mae Morelock; husband, Edward Ray Smith; sisters, Leora Morelock, Lois Dykes, Frances Overbey; brothers, James Tramel and Delmer Garfield; brothers-in-law, James Martin and Orlen Mullenix; sister-in-law, Betty Jo Morelock.

She is survived by her daughter, Robin Holley and William Lynch; grandchildren, Brandon Holley and wife, Emily, Joshua Holley and Tyler Lynch; sisters, Trula Mullenix, Lucille Martin, and Wanda Morelock; brothers-in-law, James Overbey and Hansel Dykes; sister-in-law, Anna Mae Morelock; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Hamlett Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at Hamlett Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport with Rev. Keith Williams officiating and music provided by the Mount Carmel Free Will Baptist Church Choir with a special solo by Anthony Mangrum.

Entombment services will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Holley, Joshua Holley, Tyler Lynch, Ricky Mullenix, Carlos Bise, Perry Dykes.
