BOLD PRINT: Hansel "Red" Jennings
Hansel "Red" Jennings, 70, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord Monday, September 1, 2008, at Holston Manor following an extended illness.
He was a lifelong resident of Kingsport and was of the Holiness faith. Mr. Jennings was a retired painter and a veteran of the U. S. Navy.
Preceding him in death were his wife, Linda Patrick; a daughter, Rhonda Jennings; parents, Hansel Jennings and Margie Gulley; two brothers, Frank Jennings and Jason Jennings; and one sister, Zola Mae Morelock.
Surviving are one daughter, Angela Conkin and husband Allen of Kingsport; three sons, Billy Jennings, Randy Jennings and wife Teresa, Robert Jennings and wife Ann, all of Kingsport; ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; one sister, Margaret Helton and husband Troy of Manassas, Virginia; one brother, Earnest Jennings and wife Emiline of Kingsport; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport or any time at the home of his daughter, Angela Conkin.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Larry C. Morelock officiating. Burial will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Billy Jennings, Chris Jennings, Justin Jennings, Shannon Jennings, Rocky Williams, and Shannon Hall. Honorary pallbearers will be Carl Jennings, Micky Jennings, and Allen Conkin.
