Harold Salyer

Harold "Red" Salyer, 73, Kingsport, passed away at his home on Tuesday, February 27, 2018. Born in Kingsport, he had lived in this area his entire life. Harold worked for Cantley-Ellis Company for several years until his retirement. He loved the great outdoors and his family. Harold was loved and will be missed by many.

He was preceded in death by his mom, Eliza and dad, Noah; wife, Ella; sons, Tracy, Carl and Johnny; brothers, John, Jack and Bobby Jo; and sister and brother-in-law, Edna and Charles.

Harold is survived by his sons, Chad and wife, Betsey, Phil and wife, Valeri, and Randy and wife, Cheryl; grandchildren, Ethan, Laney, Maranda, Nakita, April, John, Jason, and Melanie; 13 great-grandchildren; brothers, Buford and wife, Edith, and Jimmy and wife, Stella; sisters-in-law, Bobby and Loretta; daughter-in-law, Helen; several nieces and nephews; special family friends, Mars and Lee; and special nephew, Ronnie.

The family will receive friends from 4-6:00 pm on Friday, March 2, 2018, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 6:00 pm with Pastor Will Shewey.

The graveside service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.
