Harriet "Hope" Slagle Herron
Harriet "Hope" Slagle Herron, 60, of Kingsport, died Friday, December 23, 2011 at Indian Path Medical Center.
Hope was born September 2, 1951 in Virginia and graduated from Surgoinsville High School in 1970.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Wilma Jo Dinsmore and B. C. Dinsmore; her father, Larry Slagle; one brother, David Slagle; and a granddaughter, Hailey Lipe.
Survivors include her husband of 22 years, Robert "Bob" Herron of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Steve Cheryl Fields of Kingsport and Mrs. Doug Regina Lipe of Church Hill; three granddaughters, Jenna "Sunshine" Fields, Shyanna McGinnis, and Mia Lipe; one grandson, Harley Davis; sister, Mrs. Kemp Connie Brice of Surgoinsville; three brothers, Larry Gene Slagle of Rogersville, Bobby Slagle of Knoxville, and Ben Dinsmore of Bristol; stepbrother, Roger Dinsmore of Church Hill; and several special nieces and nephews. Hope is also survived by her best friends, her three beloved dogs, who she cared deeply for.
Hope's wish was to be cremated. There will be no memorial services.
