Harrison Junior Conkin

Harrison Junior Conkin, 88, of Kingsport, went to his Heavenly home Thursday afternoon, April 18, 2019. He passed at his home surrounded by his family.  He was born in Kingsport where he had lived his entire life.  He retired from Penn Dixie and the Sullivan County Highway Department.  Harrison was a member of Power Point Ministries.

He was preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters.

Harrison is survived by his wife, Irene Bishop Conkin of the home; 2 daughters, Judy Rodefer and Tam Ford; 2 sons, Jack Conkin and wife, Jeannie, and Ronnie Conkin; 6 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 pm on Monday, April 22, 2019 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm with Bishop Jack K. Forbes and Pastor Brandi Neal officiating.

The graveside service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am at Mullins Cemetery, on Lonestar Rd, Kingsport, TN 37660.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
