Harry Ray Murray

Harry Murray, 57, Kingsport, went to be with the Lord Saturday August 16, 2008 at Wellmont Hospice House in Bristol.

He was a life-long resident of Kingsport and attended Sunrise Baptist Church. Mr. Murray was an avid golfer and a member of Silver Lake Golf Club.

He was preceded in death by his infant son, Christopher Murray; parents, Herb and Mabel Murray; one sister, Sheila Murray; and grandparents, Hubert and Bessie Murray.

Surviving are his wife, Freida Murray, Kingsport; two daughters, Nikki Murray and Jason Gilliam, Kingsport, and Breeann Murray, Kingsport; two sons, Scotty Murray and fiancée, Brittany Reynolds, Kingsport, and Tyler Monroe, Kingsport; granddaughter, Elaina "Gracie" Gilliam; one sister, Dawn "Rita" Stallsmith and husband, Bobby, Gray; one brother, Gary Murray, Kingsport; special aunt and uncle, Bob and Jan Roberts, Kingsport; special cousin, Jay Robinson, Kingsport; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport, and anytime at 446 Hurd Road, Kingsport.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Kelly Dykes officiating. Burial will follow at Mullins Cemetery.

Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
