Harry Patterson, 71, Johnson City, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2013 at his home. He was born in Dallas and raised in Longview, TX. Harry graduated from the University of Texas with a BBA in Accounting in 1964. He worked for Citi Group in Johnson City as an accounting manager until his retirement and was a member of TN Certified Public Accountants. Harry served in the U.S. Navy as a Commissioned Officer and served in Vietnam.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Howard Patterson, mother, Margaret Louise Zollars Patterson, and brother, James Wilburn Patterson.
Harry is survived by his wife, Cheryl Lee Patterson of Johnson City; daughter, Tiffany Patterson Holland and husband, Derek of Chattanooga; son, Cody Lee Patterson and wife, Tammy of Jonesborough; two grandchildren, Andrew Bryce Holland and Elizabeth Lee Holland of Chattanooga; brothers, Richard Keith Patterson and wife, Dorothea of Jacksonville, Florida, and Robert Earl Patterson and wife, Cindy of Longview, Texas; sisters, Virginia Patterson Wade of Reno, Nevada, and Martha Louise Patterson of Chattanooga; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday at 4:00 pm at First Presbyterian Church, Kingsport with The Rev. Dr. David A. Cagle and Rev. Sharon H. Amstutz officiating. The family will receive friends at the church following the memorial service.
