Hascal Ray Combs, 76, of Mt. Carmel, passed away on Friday, August 10, 2012.

He was born in Kingsport and resided in Mt. Carmel. Hascal served in the U. S. Army where he was stationed in Germany and retired from AFG Glass Plant.

Hascal was a member of Fellowship Freewill Baptist Church for 50 years. He was an avid coon hunter and loved the outdoors. Hascal enjoyed studying and reading the Bible.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Conley and Bonnie Gilliam Combs; brother, Sam Combs; and sister, Shelby Jean Hammonds.

Hascal is survived by his wife of 57 years, Barbara Combs of Mt. Carmel; daughter, Teresa Lynn Holdren and husband Ben of Rogersville; son, Jeff Combs of Mt. Carmel; two grandsons, Thomas Morrison and Mason Combs; great-granddaughter, Neveah Morrison; one brother, Rev. Jimmy Combs and wife Phyllis of Scott County, VA; several nieces and nephews; and special hunting buddies, Bill Candler and Ronald Manis.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Services will follow at 7 p.m. with Pastor Jeff Davis and Mike Bays officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Oak Hill Memorial Park with military rites by the American Legion Posts No. 3/265.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Combs, Lynn Combs, Marty Combs, Jeremy Combs, Thomas Morrison, Ben Holdren, Mason Combs, and Mike Richards.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.
