Hattie S. Leach
Hattie S. Leach, 83, a lifelong resident of Kingsport, passed away Saturday, October 9, 2010.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, William Joseph Leach, Jr.; her father and mother, Gerson and Mary Steffey of Kingsport; sisters, Mildred and Shirley; and brother, Stanton, all of Kingsport.
Surviving are Hattie's three sons, Joe Leach and wife, Barbara, Mike Leach and wife Anne, David Leach and wife Melissa; fifteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grand children; and several nieces and nephews; two brothers, Bob and wife Virginia, Kpt, Vernon and wife Winona, Nashville, TN; sister Jean and husband Alvie, Kpt.
The Leach family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the nursing staff of the 400 wing of Holston Manor for taking such good care of mom.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at East Lawn Memorial Park with Pastor Ron Bradshaw officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Autism Speaks, Greater Boston, 1 East 33rd Street, 4th Floor, New York, NY 10016; or contributions may also be made to www.autismspeaks.org.; or to the Shriner's Hospital, 950 W. Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
