Hazel Hall Davis

Hazel Hall Davis, of Fall Branch, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 31, 2025, two months after her 100th birthday, at Preston Place I, following a period of declining health.

She was born November 1, 1924, in Greene County TN, and graduated from Baileyton High School. Hazel and Roland were blessed to have traveled to many places in this country and abroad. Throughout her travels, she never met a stranger. Hazel worked at First National Bank of Kingsport, Banking and Trust Co., and First Tennessee Bank from which she retired in 1972. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Fall Branch and loved singing in the choir as long as she was able. She also was a Youth Leader, which she greatly enjoyed. Hazel was a wonderful cook and loved taking food to the sick and shut-ins in the community. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Eula Moulton Hall; and brothers, Hartsell, Harold, and Haynes Hall, whom she helped to care for.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 75 years, Roland Davis; and many very special friends and cousins.

Roland wishes to thank the caring staff at Preston Place I and Smokey Mountain Hospice for Hazel’s wonderful care.

The Graveside Service will take place at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at First Baptist Church of Fall Branch Cemetery with Reverand’s Carl Strickler & Mark Newman officiating. There will be no visitation.

Pallbearers will be Stanley Hall, Paul Jennings, George Moody, John K. Brown, John W. Brown, Todd Hall, and Chad Hall. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Donna & John Hansen, Adult Men #2 Sunday School Class & Ladies 1 & 2 Sunday School Class.
