Hazel Violet Mullins

Hazel Violet Hall Mullins, 91, Jonesborough, passed from this life at 10:20 a.m., Sunday, August 21, 2011, at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.

Born in Beefhide, KY, she resided in McRoberts, KY, until moving to the Jonesborough area in 1982. She was dearly loved by all who knew her.

Mrs. Mullins was a member of the Old Regular Baptist Church in McRoberts, KY.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hobert Mullins.

She is survived by five daughters: Anna Blevins and husband Jack of Fall Branch, TN; Angella McFall and husband Daniel of Armada, Michigan; Dee Davis and husband Gary of Jonesborough, TN; LaVerne Winebarger and husband Onnie of Byrdstown, TN; and Linda Pace and husband Steve of Colonial Heights, TN; three sons, Gary Mullins and wife Carol of Huron, Ohio; Jim Mullins and wife Daphine of Ft. Worth, Texas; Benny Mullins and wife Nancy of Knoxville, TN; two sisters, JoAnn Stanley of North Huntingdon, PA; Vonda Evanoff of Mt. Ida, AR; nineteen grandchildren; thirty-three great- grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 24, from 6-8:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport. The funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, August 25, at 11 a.m., at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport with Pastor Steve Pate officiating. Burial will follow at Washington County Memory Gardens.
