Hazel G. Smith, 93, of Johnson City went to be with the Lord Tuesday, June 5, 2007, at Lakebridge Health Care Center.
She was born in Scott County, Virginia, but had resided most of her life in Sullivan County.
Her parents, Ben and Rosa Williams; husband, Frank Smith; and several brothers and sisters preceded her in death.
Surviving are two daughters, Bernice Brown of Nashville, TN, and Robin Sargent; one son and daughter-in-law, David and Beverly Smith, Fall Branch; four granddaughters; five great-grandchildren; and two special nieces, Mildred and Joyce, both of Johnson City.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Fall Branch. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Dr. Kenneth W. LaDuke officiating. Burial will follow at 3:00 p.m. Saturday at Logans Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
